OVERVIEW

The term “Al Quds” is an Arabic name that refers to the City of Jerusalem. In Arabic, “Al Quds” (سالق) literally translates to “The Holy.” It is a name often used to symbolize the historical, cultural, and religious significance of Jerusalem in the Middle East, particularly in the context of the Middle East conflict and the city’s importance to multiple faiths, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

In the heart of Jerusalem, where history and faith converge, the idea for the Al Quds Conference was born. Established as a beacon of hope in a region often marked by tensions. Its founder, Imam Qasim Rashid Ahmad envisioned a platform where diverse faiths could come together to share, learn, understand, promote tolerance, and strengthen the bonds that connect us all.

One prayer in al-Masjid al-Nabawi is equivalent to one thousand prayers elsewhere, so one prayer in al-Masjid
al-Aqsa is equivalent to two hundred and fifty prayers elsewhere.

HOMELAND OF THE PROPHETS

It (Al-Quds) was the first qiblah of the Muslims, as was reported by al-Baraa’ (may Allah be pleased with him): the Messenger of Allah sa (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed in the direction of Bayt al-Maqdis for sixteen or seventeen months. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 41 this version was narrated by him – and by Muslim, 525).

It is the place where Wahy (Revelation) came down,
and it is the homeland of the Prophets
